The castle garden is small but beautiful, it's a lot of fun

Hands off! There is no other way of saying it, the food is unfortunately really bad! We have already been there 2 or 3 times to give the shop a chance, the ambience is nice. But unfortunately the dishes are not tasty! But I can recommend the shop for a café, the service is nice too.

Very good restaurant with a small menu and a beautiful conservatory. The kitchen is fairly straightforward but, above all, is of high quality with fairly "decent" portions. The service is super friendly, professional and still enjoys your job under full throttle. All in all a highly recommended restaurant with a great price / performance ratio

Eat here because of the high rating, but it was very disappointing. Had a schnitzel and a stew. The portions were quite large. Schnitzel was fine, but very thin and not special in taste. Had asked for ketchup for the fries, but not received. The dish was served without vegetables or salad. The stew was reasonable, it was very salty and the red cabbage came from a jar. For dessert, a sundae with warm cherries, cherries were lukewarm.

During our visit we were greeted warmly. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful. The presentation of the restaurant met our taste. The flank steak we ordered was really tasty. The only point of criticism: The steak was given with 300g, but realistic was rather 150g. I know that the indication is a gross indication. But in the case over 50% less.

Nice view, usual food

Usually I prefer other restaurants in Arolsen to the castle garden, but since I was invited, I had the opportunity to eat there. The menu mainly offers German dishes. The daily special can also be something different and is also a little more "unusual" or exotic. I ordered a "Kinder Wienerschnitzel" i.e. a Wiener schnitzel made of pork. But there is also a classic "real Wiener schnitzel" made from veal on the menu. And I did not think that I could be so enthusiastic about a "simple" Wiener schnitzel and would go into raptures! The schnitzel was very thin, perfect - yet it was a large portion and didn't taste dry or as if it had floated in the oil, but was just really perfect. Definitely the best schnitzel I've ever eaten outside. The fries were also surprisingly good. Only the salad that was served was too oily, which was a shame, but it was beautifully decorated and what could not soak up oil was also delicious. I will visit again on occasion to try something different. The atmosphere varies depending on the time and the rush. There is a beer garden, a winter garden and different areas inside so that everyone can find a suitable corner where they can comfortably eat or have a drink. The price-performance ratio is also right here and the service was very good.

We were greeted warmly in an upscale atmosphere. Service came quickly and was very friendly. The starter was tasty and quick at the table. However, the main course came with a few problems. The side dishes were completely over-salted. You can't be so in love. We were brought in new supplements within a very short time. The service was very accommodating. Without the "salt oversight" we would have liked to give five stars.

Excellently furnished with an ambience that does justice to the adjacent castle! We had a great evening outside, with really good food. The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed, but friendly. On the evening of our visit there was a closed event. This was probably the reason for this. We will definitely come back here again.
